Approaches Regarding Business Logic Modeling in Service Oriented Architecture
As part of the Service Oriented Computing (SOC), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a technology that has been developing for almost a decade and during this time there have been published many studies, papers and surveys that are referring to the advantages of projects using it. In this article we discuss some ways of using SOA in the business environment, as a result of the need to reengineer the internal business processes with the scope of moving forward towards providing and using standardized services and achieving enterprise interoperability.Business Rules, Business Processes, SOA, BPM, BRM, Semantic Web, Semantic Interoperability
CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING AN INTEGRATED UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Today we witness an increase in the role of universities in civil society. The international trends show the universities’ openness towards the alternative offered by new technologies. The article shows the actual perspectives in our country, presents the main characteristics and the structure of a computerized university management system, and also indicates the possibility of informatic integration for the system modules. The development of such a project must be controlled and validated by a standardized methodology for project management, which is shown in the article.Project Management, informatic system, management of an educational institution, portal application integration, methodology, Prince2
Information Systems in University Learning
The authors of this article are going to bring into light the significance, the place and the role of information systems in the university education process. At the same time they define the objectives and the target group of the subject named Economic Information Systems and state the competence gained by students by studying this subject. Special attention is given to the curriculum to be taught to students and to a suggestive enumeration of a series of economic applications that can be themes for laboratory practice and for students’ dissertation (graduation thesis).Information System, Academic Partnership, Curriculum, General Competence, Specific Competence, Open Systems

Applying BI Techniques To Improve Decision Making And Provide Knowledge Based Management
The paper focuses on BI techniques and especially data mining algorithms that can support and improve the decision making process, with applications within the financial sector. We consider the data mining techniques to be more efficient and thus we applied several techniques, supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms The case study in which these algorithms have been implemented regards the activity of a banking institution, with focus on the management of lending activities
Data integration approaches using ETL
Traditional data warehouses and ETL tools have been slowly pushed to expand their limits as big data has become a more and more prominent actor on the analytics stage. This paper analyzes and compares the features of Pentaho Data Integration and Oracle Data Integrator, two of the main data integration platforms. Such tools are relevant in the context of the evolution of the analytics field, which is expanding from classical business intelligence activities to the use and analysis of big data

Regional Cooperation on the Energy Markets – A Study of Romania’s Day-Ahead Market
In the context of the EU’s new energy targets, interregional cooperation is vital. The Romanian Day-Ahead energy market is one of the basic tools in promoting and realizing the internal energy market in the EU, as part of a coupling mechanism at regional level and as such its activities are of particular interest. This paper aims to study the main characteristics and activities carried out on this market, in the context of developing an informatics prototype for forecasting, analysis and decision models for energy providers, to estimate energy demand and generation in a suitable way for an efficient trading on the wholesale energy market
